Women Artists of the DMV Exhibition

A MONSTER of an exhibition has been in the works all year long, and I’m so excited to finally tell you about it. Lenny Campello has generously created an enormous survey exhibition called Women Artists of the DMV. When I first came into contact with Lenny and was juried into the show, there were three venues and about 150 selected artists. Now there are eighteen art spaces and over 400 artists, ranging from blue chip artists to emerging artists who are very new in their careers. I am over the moon to have been selected for this exhibition!

There has been a lot of press about the exhibition (and there’s sure to be more), but I feel that this article provides an excellent overview.

The piece of mine that Lenny selected for the show is a framed monotype, “Frontier Egg Sandwich.” Crazy name, I know! On September 13th, I attended the opening reception at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Hyattsville, MD, where my work is included.

I was thrilled when I saw that they selected my piece as one of four to use in their promotional materials!

What a terrific job Pyramid Atlantic did of installing, promoting, and putting on the exhibition and opening! I had such a great time at the reception, and I’ve never felt so relaxed at an opening. It was great to thank Lenny in person (profusely!) for creating this wonderful exhibition and to meet other artists and art lovers.

The exhibition is up until November 2, 2025, so be sure to check out the artworks online via this link or stop by Pyramid Atlantic Art Center if you are in the area.
